Freelancer, Zone Creations (2012-2013)
I worked within a team to produce wedding invitation and gift boxes for the Princess of Dubai. This included construction of the boxes, machine work, acrylic fabrication, fret work, sanding, finishing, polishing and cleaning.
Junior Modeller, Fast Productions (2012)
During my time at Fast Productions I worked with another Junior Modeller to produce blown up car doors and a satellite for an explosion scene. This involved using hammers and grinders to create holes and dents on the car doors, which we then painted to look like they had been in a blast.
Junior Modeller, Asgard Productions ll (2012)
During this time I worked in the Armoury Department within a team to produce weapons for “Thor 2”. I learnt how to metal etch patterns onto Aluminium and Brass. I helped in cleaning and prepping the metals, mixing the etching chemicals, preparing and applying the vinyl patterns, dipping the metals and buffing them up to a high standard. I also had the responsibility of making sure that work areas were clean and tidy, that essential tools/equipment were stocked and to liaise with the production offices when certain patterns needed re stocking or adjusted.
Prosthetics Assistant (2011)
During this time I worked within a team in the production and creation of prosthetics for Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus” (2012) and the production and creation of props for the current TV series “Game of Thrones”. I learnt how to solve problems quickly and effectively when working with a team or independently, communicate with different departments within the company, adapting efficient ways to track levels of stock and dealing with deliveries.
Costume Assistant, BGI (2011)
During this time I was based in the armour department for the film “47 Ronin” with a team of staff and other students working as a team to produce assemble and paint the suits of armour to be shipped out and ready for filming. I learnt how to place orders with suppliers and efficient ways in how to organize and keep track of items, as well as strengthening my team and communication skills, and learning how to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
